9. HIV/AIDS What is the difference between HIV & AIDS? HIV=Human Immunodificiency Virus AIDS=Acquired Immunodiffiency Syndrome ( disease ) The virus attacks T cells. As more T cells are taken over, the immune system becomes weaker.
