2. The verb ser (to be)  EQ: How do you use ser in Spanish?  "To be" in English is the infinitive to describe a state of being.  For example:  A person can be tall. To describe the person, we would say that he/she is tall.  A person can be nice. To describe the person, we would say that he/she is nice.  What other examples can you think of?
