3 The Last 16 Weeks Recap on Achievements to Date 3 New Org Mission and Vision established New Org Values development under way:  5 out of 8 focus groups completed w/ 66 participants  3 remaining sessions on 4/26 Tuesday Leadership established for 6 out of 9 units:  All to complete detailed design of their respective unit (incl. sub-units) by end of May Recruiting under way for new CTO and Client Services MD Definition of Academic IT leadership position under way Org Design New Org Name: rolling out to all IT staff of new org  Invitation to all staff going out tomorrow from UCIO  Staff to submit ideas by end of next week to ucio@harvard.eduucio@harvard.edu

4 The Last 16 Weeks Recap on Achievements to Date (continued) 4 IT services for 6/15/2011 (and ~1-2 years out) defined! 4 out of 5 WG presentations to SC done Scoping for new org website design, plan, and build initiated Drafting basic “About Us” web content under way  Reviews with MDs and other senior management to occur in May Building a strong understanding of current processes (4) under way  To build a thorough, honest, accurate understanding on both sides of legacy organizations  To ensure the future state processes we ‘rapid-prototype’ in May carry over the best from both worlds on 6/15 (and beyond)  To begin identifying and getting ready for key changes for which we must manage actively through training, communications, and socialization IT Service Delivery Client Services Admin IT Acad IT IT Security IT Infra

5 The Last 16 Weeks Recap on Achievements to Date (continued) 5 Finance: Testing of Funding Model Framework and Criteria under way Timeframe elongated significantly  IT Security recently identified as first real pilot area for examination and implementation right after 6/15 HR:  Common job families and functions nearly finalized  Beginning to support leadership team in building out their respective units by providing soon:  Research findings on leading practices information and data  Preliminary and basic staff and functional data from PeopleSoft HR system  Staff survey administration next week; mgmt validation week of 5/2; and analysis of survey data with org design recommendations by 5/13 Communications: New PM, Sarah O’Connell, starting in FT capacity on 5/9 (thru next 6 months) Founda- tional: Finance HR Comms DID NOT DISCUSS
