2 Abstract המעבדה למערכות ספרתיות מהירות High speed digital systems laboratory 2 Designing a system which can detect cellular activity, and locate it's origin within a conference room. The system will provide this functionality to a number of devices.

3 Antennas Full coverage of the room will require 4 Multi-Beam Array (MBA) antennas, two on each side of the room. Each antenna has 6 beams which are directed according to the Beam Forming Network (BFN) of the antenna. Function When a cellular device is being activated (call or sms), its signals' waves are received at the antennas' beams. Each beam has its own energy detector which saves the information from the beam, which in turn, translates the voltages into binary words according to a lookup table. Output The calculation unit checks the signal relevance. Then calculates the device's location and presents it on the display screen. 4 Specification המעבדה למערכות ספרתיות מהירות High speed digital systems laboratory 4 Dimensions Room size: 4mX6m. Tables' height is 0.7m. Necessary assumptions There might be more than one active cellular phone in the room at the same time. The active devices in the room are far enough from one another so they will be received in two different pairs of beams of the antenna. There are no echoes; We will treat them as a different device.
