Did you know that…  We use more non-reusable energy even though there is more reusable energy.

Reusable Energy These are my ideas for our new energy resources

Wind Energy 50% Advantages: We have a lot of wind especially up north and in the cold season. There is a lot of room for wind farms. It’s very inexpensive to make and get someone to install. Short installation time. It’s easy to maintain. Easy to operate. Disadvantages: It could possibly kill birds or bats or anyone\anything that is unaware. Makes noise. May require new transition lines. Varies with the weather.

Hydropower\Hydro electric Energy 25% Advantages: Does not produce air pollution, green house gases, or carbon dioxide. No pollution involved. Does not require many employees. Disadvantages: They can change the natural course of rivers, upstream or downstream. The price is high to build. Habitats can be separated. Animals which feed on fish downstream find their food source reduced and so on. Size or space.

Geothermal Energy 10% Advantages: It’s is extremely inexpensive to cost and maintain. It can be put into farmland. It is efficient It creates no pollution It creates no fuels Disadvantages: You have to be in the right location. It requires electricity to use. May run out of steam Not widespread source of energy High installation time May release harmful gases

Biomass Energy 10% Advantages: It’s a small carbon footprint. It’s a theoretically inexhaustible fuel source. Biomass alcohols and fuels are efficient, viable, and relatively clean-burning. It’s is available throughout the world. Disadvantages: It produces carbon dioxide and green house gasses. Biomass collection is difficult. Biomass crops are not available all year.

Coal Energy 5% Advantages: It’s is inexpensive. It is a abundant source of energy. It can be used for other industries. It can be safely stored. Energy produced by coal is reliable. Disadvantages: It causes pollutions like green houses gasses and carbon dioxide. There are limited stocks of coal remaining. Can cause health disabilities. Coal is not a reusable type of energy

You should invest in this because…  We would get rid of pollution.  We would have what Michigan has a lot of.  We would focus on being green.  We would get rid of fossil fuels.  We would get new energy resources  We would find more reusable energy once were already starting to use it.  Even though coal is a non reusable source of energy if it is only 5% out of 100% it is very small.
