The Pathway to Success Introduction & Purpose As the voice of the students, the SGA ensures representation of the students opinions and concerns, and with this SGA provides events, funding, and leadership opportunities to create a well-rounded college experience, which will promote retention and graduation rates.

3. The Pathway to Success Methods Blue Crew Enhances school pride and creates a spirited atmosphere throughout campus. Student Organization Sponsorships Opens opportunities for campus organizations to prosper with extra funding. Emerging Leaders Program Encourages leadership development. Student Media Services Allows students professional advertisement and allots real-world experience for the employees. INShape ISU Promotes a healthy lifestyle.

4. The Pathway to Success Benchmarks Increased participation at SGA events. Increased attendance at athletic events through Blue Crew efforts. Diversity Awareness through Diversity Week efforts. Health Awareness though INShape ISU events. Organizational funding which creates leadership opportunities and more campus life experience.

5. The Pathway to Success Discussion The Student Government Association is consistently growing its’ Awareness Campaign. Once students know everything that is offered our events and services will continually grow. The prime examples of success in the campaign is as follows: $22,500 of Fall funding was given to organizations, a significant increase from 2010. First annual Open House with an attendance of 60, which lead to an increased interest in Senate. Higher participation of Blue Crew events such as tailgates at football games. These and promotions lead to an attendance increase at the first football game from 794 students in 2010 to 1826 students in 2011.

6. The Pathway to Success Summary The Student Government Association works diligently for the students, by students. The overall goals are to create a well-rounded college experience through leadership, pride and traditions, and extra necessary funding to organizations. These unique programs that SGA offers creates opportunities in which students and organizations can prosper. As SGA continues its’ growth the students’ opportunities will too, and in turn it will increase the volume of experiential learning.
