4 GS/OAS SEDI/DED Summary of Activities Leading to IV REMCYT -Working Group 1 on Innovation: -Preliminary list of 32 Innovation Indicators based on previous work with OECD -After consultation with working group members: Final list of 12 Innovation Indicators -Collaboration with the Ibero and Inter-American Network on Indicators of Science and Technology (RICYT) -Participation of CONACYT Mexico and the OAS Technical Secretariat at the Anuual Meeting of RICYT in October 2014 in Buenos Aires, Argentina

5 Working Group 2 on Human Resources, Training and Education: -Seminar in Buenos Aires in June 2013 to launch the FINAM Mobility Program -FINAM Mobility Program Launch in September 2014 in Buenos Aires, Argentina -General Assembly of the Pan-American Union of Engineering (UPADI) in 2013 in Medellin, Colombia; and 2014 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia -Directory of 8 universities that have expressed interest in participating in the FINAM Mobility Program (Argentina, Costa Rica, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Estados Unidos) -Second and Third Calls for Applications for the Scholarship Program OAS-CONACYT-AMEXCID donated by the National Council on Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACYT) -Outreach approach to other partners from private sector (Cisco, GE, Intel, Softtek, Symantec) GS/OAS SEDI/DED Summary of Activities Leading to IV REMCYT

6 -Working Group 3 on National Quality Infrastructure: -Signing of the MOU creating the Quality Infrastructure Council of the Americas in August 2014 in Guatemala -Collaboration with PTB Germany on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Project, The Climate Change & Biodiversity Projects -Group Meetings: -Trinidad and Tobago, August 2013 (IAAC General Assembly) -Mexico, October 2013 (SIM General Assembly) -Guatemala, August 2014 (IAAC General Assembly) -The WG3 has received support by PTB Germany, the National Research Council of Canada and the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). 7 -Working Group 4 on Technological Development: -Shared good practices on Technology Transfer and Commercialization among members and partners of the WG -Academy on Technology Transfer and Commercialization for the Americas on December 2-12, 2014 in La Paz, Mexico with participation of 14 OAS Member States.The Academy received financial support from the Government of Canada and the CONACYT of Mexico. -Meeting with Technology Transfer Offices of the Americas in Queretaro, Mexico, on November 26-27, 2014, leading to Queretaro Charter -Special HASTAC Conference in Lima Peru, Ministry of Culture and Mission of Peru to the OAS (April, 2014) -Contributions from strategic partners such as University of California in Davis,Center for Biological Research of the Northwest, Mexico (CIBNOR), National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA, USA), OASARTCA- University of Illinois GS/OAS SEDI/DED Summary of Activities Leading to IV REMCYT
