12. VAVRS Special Events – Rescue College The 36th Annual State Rescue College will be held June 10 - 19, 2011 at The Inn at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA. Rescue College offers VAVRS courses at both the basic and instructor level.

14. VAVRS Special Events – Spring BOG Meeting Semi-annual business meetings at which each member squad has one vote. The Spring Board of Governors Meeting will be held April 2, 2011 in Charlottesville.

15. AVAVRS Auxiliary to the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads, Inc. – Auxiliaries are originated to assist and support their local squads. – The AVAVRS has 6 district throughout the state. Each district elects it own officers and hold district meetings. – The AVAVRS raises in excess of $700,000 per year for their senior organizations.

16. VAJVRS Virginia Association of Junior Volunteer Rescue Squads, Inc. – The VAJVRS is the youth division of the VAVRS. – The VAVRS believes junior squads to be the future of pre- hospital care. – The Junior Association hold many competitions and social events for it members. – Junior District Meetings are at the same time and location as the Senior District Meeting.
