2. Improving Lunchtime at West St Leonards Primary Academy

3. Seating Our aim is for lunch to be a pleasant experience for all. The tables are set up like a home or cafe table. Pupils will come in to the hall and sit at a table.

4. In the hall Reception and the Haven children to join the queue as they enter the hall. Year 1 2 3 4 5 6 Pupils will come in to the hall and sit at a table. Lunches sit North Hall (temporary) Packed Lunch South Hall (temporary) Yr5+6 sit together.

5. For those who go straight to lunch, the teacher will escort you to the door and send pupils in sections rather than the whole class. An adult will walk to the door with pupils from playground at 2nd and 3rd sittings. We will insist on walking between the playground and the hall (sad face). For it to run smoothly pupils must come in one door and out of the other. Entering the hall

6. In the playground 12:20 Adult will shake tambourine and show Y2 card Y2 Dinners and Packed lunches line up in different lines Mrs Hardwicke will escort to the hall and return to playground Adult will shake tambourine and show Y4 card Y4 Dinners and Packed lunches line up in different lines Mrs Hardwicke will escort to the hall and return to playground

7. In the playground 12:45 Adult will shake tambourine and show Y5 card Y5 Dinners and Packed lunches line up in different lines Mrs Hardwicke will escort to the hall and return to playground Adult will shake tambourine and show Y6 card Y6 Dinners and Packed lunches line up in different lines Mrs Hardwickewill escort to the hall

8. Adult at the hall door  Will let children in to the hall in stages to make it a more pleasant experience for the diners. Will send the quietest tables up to walk to the dinner queue. The queue will need to keep moving so that it is not slowing down people getting their lunch.

9. Leaving the hall When you have finished your dinner put you hand up so an adult can check and say you can walk out to play.
