1 BUCKHORN HIGH SCHOOL BUCKS FOOTBALL
“ARE YOU WILLING TO DO WHAT IT TAKES TO BE..110% BUCK”

2 Parent Information Dear Parents, It is a privilege to have your sons in our football program at Buckhorn High School. Our football players have made a great commitment to this school and community to be a part of something very special. We are looking forward to 2011 being an exciting year of BUCKHORN HIGH SCHOOL BUCKSFOOTBALL. We have put together a packet of material that we hope is helpful to you this year. The information enclosed includes summer workout schedule, tentative practice schedules, 2012 game schedule, NCAA academic requirements, player information sheets, discipline requirements/expectations, team picture dates, and other important information. The safety and welfare of your sons are our concern; therefore, your sons will be equipped with the very best equipment. Our coaches have many years of experience in dealing with football related injuries and we have certified athletic trainers employed through SportsMed. Our team physicians include Dr. Janson, Dr. Franklin, and Marco Cazzavillan. Football has and always will stand for COMMITMENT, CHARACTER, DEDICATION, DETERMINATION, and PRIDE. We expect our players to be at school and practice, and be on time. We will not tolerate bad behavior in the classroom and community. Academic achievement is very important to us and we expect our football players to do their very best in the classroom. Playing football is not easy. We believe it exemplifies some characteristics that will help your sons become better people in the future. This is our goal as football coaches at Buckhorn High School. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your son’s life. Sincerely BHS Football Staff Chris Hancock, Head Football Coach

3 BHS Football Vision As a program, we understand the need to win games. We believe that the true success of a program cannot solely be judged by what happens on Friday nights. In no way would we minimize the reality that winning games matters. We are a firm believer that what happens Monday through Thursday will have a greater impact on the lives of our players. It is during this time that our players are learning important life lessons. Lessons such as promptness, accountability, reliability, and gaining trust in others through hard work are incredibly important. Learning that their actions have a ripple effect on those around them and that the choices they make do not affect just them, that each of their decisions and actions limit or enhance the success of those around them.
