1 Agree/Disagree 1.The Middle Colonies were settled by mainly English Puritans. 2.The Dutch colony of New Netherland was overtaken by the English and renamed New York. 3.Pennsylvania was founded in order to promote Quaker ideals, such as tolerance and hard work. 4.Events in England had no affect on the development of the American colonies.
