3 How to cope with StudentWeb Master’s Degree seeking students admitted to English taught programs: – Quota students – Self-financing students – Erasmus Mundus HRPP-students Login option: https://studweb.uit.no/isapi/WebObjects.dll/studentweb? inst=uit 3

4 4 New inter- national students should start with this login. You will need a Norwegian ID number and a PIN code to use this login. The Diploma from UIT The Arctic University of Norway is issued with your Norwegian ID number. Please submit documentation at the Student Information Desk (located in the Adm. Building, 2nd Floor) for registration in the Student database as soon as possible.

6 6 The registration for classes and exams can only be continued after: 1. Having paid the semester fee (NOK 500,-). 2. Having registered your payment in the student database.

7 7 Having paid and registered the semester fee StudentWeb will look like this.

8 8 There are two Individual education plans. Plan 1 is about your rights and duties as a student at the UIT and UIT’s responsabilities and duties towards you. You have to confirm that you have read and understood this information in order to proceed to plan 2. Click here in order to proceed.

9 9 You are also informed of special rules and regulations that apply for your program by clicking here. Proceed by clicking here.

10 10 Click on the «pencils» to register for classes and exams. All compulsory courses are marked with red.

11 11 Normally you can select some electives, but you have to discuss this with the program coordinator at your Faculty first. Having registered for classes and exams, click here. Withdrawal from exams/changes is also to be done here (within the deadline). Register for classes and exams here.

12 12 Mandatory! In order to receive the semester registration receipt with waifer/sticker for the student card, the contact information has to be updated. Click on Norwegian semester address.

13 13 Fill in your address in Tromsø: Street name+ number, ev. room number and Postal code. Click OK- Save. You should check your UiT e-mail regularly.

14 14 You can check the results of your exams and find information about your right of appeal here.

15 15 You can order the transcript in English or in Norwegian. The transcript of records are signed and stamped by staff at UiT.

16 16 You can download the payment information here (from the 2nd semester on). Please ignore this information if your payment has been registered in the student database.

17 Semester fee Master students have to pay the semester fee of NOK 500,- before registration at StudentWeb each semester (exept for Erasmus Mundus HRPP-students). A payment giro is available at the Accommodation Office A payment giro is handed out only the 1st semester to new students. «Old» students should pay semester fee from their own bank. Payment information will be available at StudentWeb in the beginning of each semester under Payment and Giro. 17

18 Deadlines: Registration for classes and exams within: – 1 February (spring semester) – 1 September (autumn semester) Withdrawal from exams within: – 1 November/15 April – or 14 days before actual exam 18
