2 Nettiopsu – online student register Address: nettiopsu.utu.fi Some of Nettiopsu’s services are public For personal info, course and exam registrations etc., username and password are required (without @utu.fi) Login (Kirjaudu) & Switching language to English: top right corner When logging in from the computers within the network of the University, username and password are not required again Changing your password: idm.utu.fi

3 Functions of Nettiopsu for the student course registration exam registration your study attainments (unofficial transcript of records available) University enrollment (Lukuvuosi-ilmoittautuminen) for other than 1st year students other: personal data, contact information (you can change address yourself), study rights, completed degrees, University enrollments, counter for the demarcation of study time, exchange periods

5 General principles for course and exam registration Most of the registrations are done through Nettiopsu. However, please confirm the method from the staff responsible of the studies! Course and exam registrations are administered by the staff of the subject (or programme, department, faculty etc.) Electronic Curricula Guide: https://nettiopsu.utu.fi/opas/index.htm?uiLang=en&lan g=en

6 Course registration: how to find the course? From the front page: select faculty  department  subject  course OR use the course search box for an individual course Course list: if the registration period is on, the link is green. If the period has passed or it has not yet started, the link is red.

7 Course registration Attendance required at the starting day of the course You can see how many registrations for the course are already pending. It is possible to register for a place in a queue even if the quota is full Pick a group and register. If the registration is based on speed, the information on your placement will appear immediately When the registration has been successful, you get a confirmation message on the screen You can view your recent registrations on the front page and others at Courses  My registrations You may cancel the registration or switch group only during the registration period!

8 Exam registration: how to find the exam? From the front page: select faculty  department  subject  course  click the exam date OR use the exam search After clicking the correct date you get to the registration window

9 Exam registration If needed, enter the special arrangements or exam books Attendance required on the exam day (exception: for exams in August or September, attendance of the previous spring semester is enough) You will receive a confirmation message after registration You can view the exam registrations until the following day after the exam on the front page and in Examinations  My registrations You may cancel the exam registration only during the registration period
