2. Conversation You may not talk to anyone during choral reading You will be reading aloud with the class

3. Help If you need help during choral reading, raise your hand I only answer questions when students raise their hands quietly

4. Activity During choral reading you are: –Sitting up straight –Looking at the text that the class is reading –Reading at the same pace as the teacher –Reading in a voice that is loud enough to hear, but not too loud that it is disruptive –Reading in an appropriate voice

5. Movement During choral reading, you must remain seated at all times You may not recycle paper, sharpen your pencil, get tissue, nor get out of your seat for supplies Asking me to do any of these of things will result in a warning

6. Participation You are meeting my expectations if you are: Sitting up straight Reading with the class at the appropriate pace Facing forward in your seat

7. Participation You are not meeting my expectations if you are: –Not reading with the class –Reading in a voice that is too loud, too soft, or silly –Talking –Turning around in your seat –Getting out of your seat
