Part-Time: 20-34 hours/week Full-Time: 35+ hours/week Major-Related Community-Service Types of Internships Fall or Spring: 16-18 weeks Summer: 10-14 weeks Can work back-to-back semesters # weeks # hrs/wk Paid Voluntary Salary Work F-1 Visa students can only intern during summer and must use OPT for work authorization. Time to obtain OPT authorization varies, so talk to OIE early!
