12 REMEDIAL COURSES A required investment in your college success. MUST be completed prior to taking college credit courses. NO college credit but they count as “equated credits”.

14 How long will it take to get my degree? IT IS UP TO YOU!!!! You need 60 credits for your associates degree. This is HALF of your bachelors degree. Most courses are worth 3 or 4 credits. You can take summer or winter courses to graduate earlier.

16 TUITION PAYMENT If You Register: Your Bill Must Be Paid By: Through June 25, 2012 July 11, 2012 June 26 th – August 6 th August 20, 2012 WARNING!!!  Once you register, you are liable for ALL tuition & fees shown on your bill.  If you DO NOT pay your bill or DO NOT go to class – you are STILL financially liable for all charges.  To completely cancel your registration, you must CONTACT YOUR FRESHMAN COORDINATOR BEFORE the START of the semester.

17 Tuition Effective FALL 2012 Residents of New York City who are: Full Time (Minimum of 12 credits/equated credits) = $1,950.00 Don’t forget FEES!! Part Time (Less than 12 credits) = $165.00 per credit See Admissions webpage for further details.

34 CUNY Portal: Blackboard The CUNY portal login is found on the CUNY.EDU website Blackboard will be used in some of your classes If your class is using Blackboard you will be able to view your assignments and any messages from that professor online.

35 E-Portfolio E-portfolio is found in Epsilen E-portfolio is your own personal Website. It represents YOU. You will be able to build your e-portfolio over time! Some professors may use this in the classroom. Used to store and display your work. Papers Resume Certificates, licenses, and awards At the end of your time at Queensborough, you will be able to look at your successes on your E-Portfolio. Will be discussed further in Technology Workshop.

39 ST – 100 COURSE (PNET) What is ST-100?  Informative and interactive freshman course designed to introduce new students to QCC. Partially online course(PNET). 10 class sessions; 5 lessons in the classroom(once a week) and 5 lessons will be assigned via online work. MUST BE COMPLETED within the 5 week period. MANDATORY course for all first time full time freshman students. A passing grade is REQUIRED. If you do not complete the course, you will be required to repeat the course resulting in DELAYED REGISTRATION for the following semester.
