1 Sophomore Spring Guidance Lesson: Your Future Begins Today Dobson Counseling Department

2 Students who can –(1) project themselves into the future and –(2) understand the consequences of their actions today are far more likely to graduate from high school and successfully move on to college/career.

3 Students will memorize their Student Experience “User Name” and “Password” Students will memorize their Kuder® Navigator “User Name” and “Password” Students will use Student Experience to identify their progress toward their desired diploma option. Students will use Kuder® Navigator to create an educational plan. Students will use Kuder® Navigator to consider career opportunities that are consistent with their interests, skills, and/or values.

4 Student Experience Student Experience or My MPS is your way to monitor your grades, your attendance, request classes for next school year, and track your progress toward graduation. Student Experience also has a calendar which can be useful to check when assignments are do and tests are coming up. You can access Student Experience by going to http://www2.mpsaz.org/mymps/http://www2.mpsaz.org/mymps/

5 Student Experience Account Access Your Student Experience User Name is always “st” and then your “six digit Perm ID” We recommend that your Password be your “six digit Perm ID” If you forget your User name and Password you can have it e-mailed to you You need to periodically access your account or your account will be disabled Your account can also be disabled if use an “Invalid user id or password.” If you account is disabled it will need to be given an “Activation Key” by our registrar

10 Kuder® Navigator Kuder® Navigator is a career planning system that is free to all Dobson students. Kuder® Navigator can help you learn more about yourself, explore different occupations, plan for your education beyond high school, find a job, and develop a career portfolio. You can also use Kuder Navigator to compose an education plan that will fulfill your high school educational requirements your goals beyond high school. We call this plan a “Mustang Plan” or an “Educational and Career Action Plan (ECAP).” When your plan is complete, you will have completed 100% of the tasks in Kuder® Navigator.

11 Accessing Kuder® Navigator You can access Kuder® Navigator on the internet by going to: http://www.mpsaz.kuder.com/http://www.mpsaz.kuder.com/ You can Login to Kuder® Navigator using your User name and Password User name: (1) First initial of your first name, (2) First initial of your middle name, (3) Full last name, (4) Date of your birth Password: Your six digit student ID number If you forgot your user name and password you can have it e-mailed to you If necessary, school counselors can reset your password and/or give you an activation code
