Learning of school vision Both languages of the school vision would be split into 5 parts (for 5 Station Games) One part of school vision, in both languages (EL/CL), will be given to both OGs after each game. Each Station Master will be given the one part of school vision in both languages. There will be 2 sets for each language, an easy one and a difficult one.[EL Easy; CL Easy; EL Hard; CL Hard] The loser will receive the “difficult” clues in both language while the winner will receive the “easy” clues. 29 Things to Note for OGL OGLs must ensure that there is full strength for the OG at all times. OGLs must ensure that the OG is on the right track and not going in the wrong direction. If OGLs find that the OG is going in the wrong track, try to give some hints. Give water break constantly to prevent dehydration or heat stroke. If anyone wants to go to the toilet, the whole OG must stay and wait, do not leave anyone behind.

In Case of Wet weather OGLs bring OG to sheltered area first and wait for further instructions.

Catholic High School SECONDARY 1 ORIENTATION 2014 WAR GAME CAPTURE THE FLAGS

*AT A VERY SMALL SCALE

GAME PLAY Each faction will be given 10 flags at the start of the game. The objective of the game is to collect all 40 flags to win. Each player must find another player to pair up and wrap 1 sheet of newspaper over 2 arms. Player from another faction must travel to another faction’s base to steal the flags that are hung on tables.

GAME PLAY To prevent flags from being taken away, they must kill players from other factions. To kill another player, they must throw water bombs at the newspaper and when it disintegrates, the person is killed. But water bombs can only be thrown from base boundaries.

GAME PLAY 2 healers (decided by own faction and cannot be changed) will heal those that are killed by timing 1 minute before handing a new piece of newspaper. HEALERS

GAME PLAY There will be a “spy” who will tell the Faction Heads about the suspicious Healer(the storyline version). The Healer will then come out and laugh at all 4 factions. Orientation Group Leaders/Station Masters will then encourage the factions that they can be strong together as long as they unite against the ultimate mastermind, throwing the water bombs at the Healer instead. TWIST IN GAME:

WHAT ORIENTATION GROUP LEADERS SHOULD DO : Not allowed to play Help to wrap the newspaper over the pair if they are having difficulties Advise them not to play foul Help to ensure safety in the whole game At the plot twist, encourage your faction to be join forces with other factions to go against the Healer(Gerald)

WET WEATHER PLAN In case of wet weather, war game will be played in the HALL GAMEPLAY The objective of the game is to collect all 40 flags and given 10 flags for each faction at the start. Flags will be hung on a table per faction and the table will be in each faction’s base, with a boundary drawn. Each Secondary 1 will given a balloon to blow to a certain size, with a blown balloon to be shown to them as a model size. The balloon must also be tied to the ankles with a rubber band. To steal flags, players must enter another base and can only steal 1 at a time. To prevent your flags from being taken, you must step on the invader’s balloon to kill. But when invading another base, you cannot kill players in that base. If you are killed, you can still play, but to only stay at your own base and not allowed to exit the base. In the area between bases, it is free for all, everyone can kill each other.

WET WEATHER PLAN Storyline Following the storyline, all factions will unite as one when the Healer comes out in the middle to laugh at everyone. Each faction will be given a box of pellets and begin to shoot at the Healer’s shield (that he will be holding onto) with their rubber band from the balloons. When the Healer’s shield is broken by the paper pellets, the Healer is considered “destroyed”.

WHAT ORIENTATION GROUP LEADERS SHOULD DO : To assist the Secondary 1s in tying the balloons and tying the balloons with the rubber bands to the ankle. Advise them not to play foul (pushing/pulling) Help to ensure safety in the whole game.
