Background At the fourth world conference on women in Beijing in 1995, feminists created the concept of women's empowerment . Empowerment means the empowerment of women in life and the ability to change the situation of gender inequality . Feminist scholars and international organizations have tried to develop different indicators for this concept.

Purpose 1. Men and women should receive equal treatment, and should not be discriminated against based on gender 2. Analyze gender inequality from educational , economy and families.

In Chile, the retrograde country of the gender equality in Latin America, women cannot enjoy the gender equality.   in Chile, there are the different wages between women and men even if they have the same education level. Male always have a higher salaries compared with the female. And the gap of salaries between them are wider when their education level is higher.

Research questions 1. Welfare(holidays, salary , rewards) 2. Conditions a. Married or not b. Any children Research objective 1. Company staff (25 female + 25 male) 2. Other type of people (50 person)

For the record , feminism by definition is:”The belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. It is the theory of the political , economic and social equality of the sexes.”

conclusion The same education level between men and women is not necessary to impact the gender equality as there are other factors affecting the gender equality. Women’s low education level is one of the factors affecting the gender equality. At the same time, there are lots of factors affecting the education level of women. Therefore, to answer our research question, we would say: there is a causal relation between women education and gender equality.
