It is an incredibly complicated science in which we are still finding the answers to. What does the evidence say? Scientists have come up with lots of evidence for healthy and unhealthy things. Basic facts like fats in processed foods can lead to cardiovascular disease and many others while fruit and vegetables are very healthy, but then research finds out that fruit and vegetables can be unhealthy because of carbohydrates so we are further thrown as to what the perfect diet should be. The best we could do is stay at a ‘healthy’ weight with the right foods at the right weight. Carbohydrates should make up the majority of your diet. Vitamins and minerals: vitamins A, B, C, D and K are vital along with minerals calcium, potassium and iron. These should be consumed for a happy life. Water: water is important for health and because we cannot store it we must consume it and need a large amount a day.
