2. Designing your Novel
Remember that you need to focus on developing each page! As an artist, you need to think about how each page will move the story forward. You may want to think about different techniques that will keep your pages interesting. Let’s look at some examples and discuss what you notice!

8. Tips and Tricks Remember to change up your pages!
Zoom in on important details/images you want your reader to pay attention to
Use a variety of color/shapes/designs
Alternate between full page images and dividing your page in different ways
Stay consistent!

9. Your Table of Contents
One of the requirements for this project is the table of contents.
You must put your table of contents on the FIRST PAGE!
This will tell which page develops which element of folktales the strongest. You must include:
Problem/solution
Setting
Magic
The moral
Human characters
Non-human characters

10. Begin Working!
In your group, start to develop your graphic. Remember to be creative and make your story come to life!
