Before we can begin our genetic unit, we must rewind to 6th grade and revisit cells and the parts of cells
1) Name the two main cell types
Prokaryotes (bacteria with no nucleus) and Eukaryotes (all others, have a nucleus)
2) Name 2 parts of a cell and list their functions
Lysosome, ribosome, mitochondria, cell membrane, Golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum, nucleus…..

You have been given two cell drawings (a plant cell and an animal cell)
VERY neatly, using precision, color the cells. Each organelle should be different to help you identify them.
As you color, notice the labels on the bottom have a bubble next to them. Color the bubble the same color that you used to color that part of the cell.
Tape or glue your completed cell into your notebook on its own page.
