80% SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENTS (TESTS, QUIZZES, AND PROJECTS)
20% - FORMATIVE ASSESSMENTS (HOMEWORK AND CLASSWORK)
LATE WORK: Late work will be accepted for half credit for up to 3 days after the original due date. This is to ensure that grades can be updated in a timely manner, and so that students are focusing on current assignments.
RETAKE POLICY: Students will have the ability to retake one assessment at the end of each quarter.
ABSENTEE POLICY: For excused absences, students will have the number of days absent plus two (2) to complete and hand in work for credit. Exceptional circumstances should be brought to the principal for advisement.
While homework is a small part of the overall grade, it is assigned so that students will be prepared for the assessments, which are 80% of the grade. Please complete homework as assigned.

BATHROOM PROCEDURE: Students will raise 2 fingers (peace sign) and sign out at the door. Please do not ask to leave during whole-group instruction unless it is an emergency.
MISSED HOMEWORK: Students will fill out a “Homework ticket” and turn that in in lieu of their homework.
UNPREPARED FOR CLASS: Students are encouraged to ask groupmates to borrow supplies, if possible. If none are available, the student may request to borrow from the supply center.
