2 Beat (meter) 6 = Six beats per measure 8 = Eighth note gets the count
There are two pulses in each measure

3 Rhythm Sixteenth Notes = ¼ of a beat each
Dotted Quarter Notes = 1 and ½ beats

4 Tempo Ritardando = to get slower Accelerando = to get faster

5 Melody Bass Clef – also called an F clef Lines of the bass staff = G,B,D,F,A Spaces of the bass staff = A,C,E,G Grand Staff- when the treble and bass staff are together. the piano uses this.

6 Major 6 (M6) – think of “My Bonnie”

7 Harmony Arpeggio - is a musical technique where notes in a chord are played or sung in sequence, one after the other, rather than ringing out simultaneously. The major arpeggio is Do, Mi, Sol.

8 Dynamics Mezzo Piano – medium quiet Mezzo Forte – medium loud
