Metals affected by magnets include:
Iron, nickel, and cobalt or alloys (mixtures) of those metals (steel)

A magnetic field is a line of force
Force enters from the south pole
Force exits through the north pole

4. Types of Magnets
Permanent: Create their own magnetic field all the time.
Temporary: Produce magnetic fields for a short time
Electromagnets: Produce a magnetic field when electricity travels through a wire coil

5. Magnetic Attraction
In magnets opposite poles attract and like poles repel
