4 Theme Two: Place Place which answers the question: What are the human and physical characteristics of this location? What things are natural? What are man-made? (c) Ms. Vice,

5 Theme Three: Human-Environment Interaction
Human-Environment interaction which answers the question: How do humans and the environment affect each other? (c) Ms. Vice,

6 Theme Four: Movement Movement which answers the question: How do people interact? (example: movement of people, information, and ideas) (c) Ms. Vice,

7 Theme Five: Regions The last theme is regions, which answers the question: How do regions form and change? (c) Ms. Vice,

9 Types of Location There are 2 types of location: absolute and relative

10 Absolute Location Absolute geography is an absolute location that gives the exact street address. Absolute geography is also measured in latitude and longitude lines. Ex: The White House is at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC. (c) Ms. Vice,

11 Relative Location Relative location gives a relative or comparative address. Ex: The White House is near Capitol Hill. (c) Ms. Vice,
