1. Specifications of group presentation
Topic: Any news story you feel interested in
Presenters: Four or five students in a group. Each presenter is to give part of the presentation for around 3 minutes.
Length of time: 12~15 minutes’ presentation + 3~4 minutes’ Q & A session
Presenting time: Dec. 3; Dec. 10

2. Preparation Choosing a manageable topic.
Collecting materials, acknowledging the sources at the end of your PPT.
Organizing the materials.
Preparing PPT slides, visual/audio aids if available
Rehearsing.

3. PPT Avoid using too much text.
Create bullet points which are clear summaries of key points.
The font size for your text is at least 24pt

4. Structure Greeting the audience + brief introduction
Presenting your topic in a well-structured way
Concluding your presentation
Question and answer session

5. Presentation Skills
Paralanguage: volume, rising and falling tones, speed of speech, etc. Don’t speak in a monotone. Don’t speak too fast.
Body language: gestures, facial expression, eye contact, etc. Avoid gestures that might distract your audience. Don’t turn your back to them.
Display the PPT slides at a proper pace.
Don’t simply read from PPT slides or your notes.
