An online self-assessment tool to explore the HEIs entrepreneurial and innovative potential through 42 different statements across 8 dimensions Allows individuals and groups to assess their HEIs in a systematic way Gives instant access to results and learning materials  Compares and contrasts evolution over time Provides a community of practitioners Opens up discussion and debate associated with the entrepreneurial / innovative nature of the?

3 The eight dimensions of HEInnovate Examples of the statements:
The HEI is a driving force for entrepreneurship and innovation in regional, social and community development (L&G) The HEI co-designs and delivers the curriculum with external stakeholders (ETL) The HEI demonstrates active involvement in partnerships and relationships with a wide range of stakeholders (KEC) The HEI regularly assesses knowledge exchange and collaboration (MI)

5 HEInnovate can be used:
To raise awareness of the idea of entrepreneurial/innovate HEI in general, or For very specific needs e.g. institutional mergers, focus on knowledge exchange, entrepreneurial teaching, performance contracts, networking among HEIs To aid discussion internally, or To engage decision makers, external partners To shape change through identification of strength and weaknesses, prioritisation of actions To measure progress towards change over time

6 Considering your / a partner HEI:
Are significant differences between your views compared to other internal and external stakeholders, when answering the following questions: Is the institution entrepreneurial in its leadership? Does the institution recognise and reward entrepreneurial behaviour? Does the institution enable knowledge exchange and collaboration opportunities? Can you identify any areas of strengths / areas in need of improvement at your / the partner HEI? Focusing on the key areas for improvement, which are the highest priority? What are the barriers to making improvements in these areas?
