2 Educational or special training requirements
If You want to become a substitute teacher you must have a bachelors degree, and you of course have to have a high school diploma. Some schools even require certification. And it’s a given that you need to know how to teach the subject that you applied for.

3 Special qualities needed for someone to do the job well
You must be able to be flexible with your time. You also will need verbal and written communication skills. You have to be familiar with office equipment. And you will of course need lots of patience. You will need full control l of students if you want to get through a day of work, or at least have the attention of the children. Lastly, with responsibility comes discipline and you will have to take control of stressful situations with discipline for some cases. You have to have the power and man up to take control of the situation.

4 Salary range for being a substitute teacher
If you’re a substitute teacher with certification (your certified to teach) then your paycheck will most likely range from $100- $125 daily. Without certification your pay will be around $75- $80 daily. The amount of money that you earn depends of what subject you are teaching in for most cases. So on this rate you looking at about $23,000 a year.

5 What options of jobs are available within the field?
You can be substitute nurses, gym teachers, teachers aids, lunch helpers, basically any help needed for an extra person. When you are a substitute you of course can also go to different schools for different substitute options.

6 Schools or organizations that offer that education or training
Western Governors University(WGU) offers substitute teaching degrees for lower prices, and you can graduate faster than in other collages. Also the University of Phoenix offers substitute teaching education. This is a very creative university. It is located in Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.

7 Famous substitute teacher
Alexander Graham Bell was a famous substitute teacher in the 1800s, although most people only know him for his accomplishment of inventing the telephone. He was also a teacher for the deaf. J.K Rowling (The author of the harry Potter Books) also taught substituting in teaching English.

8 My Reaction to what I’ve learned
After learning about the skills, requirements, and the paychecks of substitute teaching I do not see myself teaching the subject in my future. Mostly because of the small salary and the amount of stress that goes into dealing with the children and strict schedule. One substitute teacher once said “ Being a substitute teacher definitely is a challenge, but it’s always worth it to see the smiles on kids faces at the end of the day.”
