Special Education Teacher  This job is to Teach elementary school subjects to educationally and physically handicapped students.  Includes teachers who specialize and work with clear and visually handicapped students.  This job is also for those who teach regular academic and life processes skills to the mentally impaired.

Tasks Involved  Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, or teacher training workshops to maintain or improve professional competence.  Control the inventory or distribution of classroom equipment, materials, or supplies.  Preparing work for teacher assistants or volunteers.  Teach students personal development skills, such as goal setting, independence, or self-advocacy  Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health
