Archaeologists study the remains of the past and have found many artifacts and dwellings.

6 Hunters and Gatherers Nomadic people had no permanent homes. They moved from place to place looking for food May have lived in Wicki-ups: simple shelters made of grass and sticks. Hunted with the Atlatl: spear throwing tool.

9 Anasazi Lived in the Four Corners area. Farmers who cultivated corn, beans, squash. Dwelt in Pueblos. No one is sure where they went.

Hunter gatherers who utilized the Bow and Arrow Also farmed the sparse terrain for corn, beans, and squash Lived in Pit houses. No one is sure what happened to them.
