8 In 2018 the equipment committee devised a fleet modernization strategy with the mission to provide a fleet that ensures a consistent, high quality experience for all rowers at SRA To limit the maximum boat age to 7 years To standardize on one vendor for best purchasing power and ease of maintenance To make fleet management and costs sustainable for future rowers Adequate fundraising will be critical to achieve this goal. In 2018 we exceeded fundraising and equipment purchasing goals. To complete the fleet modernization, SRA must raise $1.1M between 2017 and 2023. Currently on track at ~25% completion with 14 new boats purchased for $260K. Fleet Modernization Sammamish Rowing Association Annual Meeting
