The program consists of 12 modules on a variety of topics
It is normally expected that the program will be completed in about one year from the registration date
Each module would therefore average about one per month, but some could be completed sooner
This is called “fast-tracking” and it is up to the student’s own discretion how quickly you wish to progress through the program

E2 – Mid-Term Examination #2 (Modules #4 to #6)

When enrolling for the full program of 11 modules, the total fees are $3,700
This includes taxes and textbooks.
Note: Module 11 for the CTC Examination Preparation has a Workbook available upon request, at an extra cost
Note: Module 12 for the CTC Certification Preparation (no fee) is voluntary, not mandatory
The first payment is $312, followed by 11 monthly payments of $308 each.
Fees are deducted from your credit card by our Registrar.
Post-dated cheques are also acceptable.
If you enrol for individual modules, each one is priced separately
The total fees are $4,700.

Each module is an online website that is accessed with a unique URL address and password - they have instructions to help you work through the material in the textbooks
Self-teach exercises are regularly given to help you test your own understanding of the topics
They have an answer page for you to check your responses
These are not submitted to your Instructor

After you have studied each module’s materials and feel confident you have a good understanding, you may take an online test
Each test is normally comprised of 40 true/false, multiple choice,
fill-in-the-blank, or completion type questions
One essay question is also included in most modules which requires manual marking by your Instructor
your Instructor and request the password
You will be expected to take the test within 48 hours of receiving the password
You will be allowed two hours for each test, and they are controlled by a countdown clock that appears on your screen
Your Instructor will normally advise you of your mark within 48 hours
The URL address and password for the next module will then be sent to you

On a regular basis, you will receive a Program Marks Report (an Excel file) showing your module’s test and examination marks as you progress through the program
This will be as an attachment to an from your Instructor
Note that this is not an Official Transcript – but just a progressive personal report to you on your cumulative marks and where you are in the program
Dates are shown as a guide for completion of each test and examination, based upon the planned one year schedule for the program, from when you registered.

Travel Counsellor Online Certificate Program
The minimum pass mark for each test and examination is 70%
Should that minimum mark not be achieved, you may request a retest by to your Instructor.
Upon achieving a passing grade for the retest, please note that a mark of only 70% will be awarded, although the actual retest mark may be higher.
Progression to a further module may not be allowed until a previous test or examination achieves a passing grade.

During the program, you will be required to take three Mid-Term Examinations covering Modules 1 through 11
There are 100 true/false, multiple choice, and matching questions (no essay questions)
After you have completed the last Mid-Term Examination #3, there is a Final Comprehensive Examination – three hours are allowed for each of the four examinations
This is 100 varied questions (True/False, Multiple Choice and Matching (no essay) taken from each of the 11 modules you have studied
As soon as this is submitted, your Instructor will advise you of your mark
The Registrar will then make arrangements for the preparation of your final transcript for the program, and your Certificate

A special note about:
Module 10 – Introduction to TICO (Travel Industry Council of Ontario)
Although the TICO certificate is only mandatory in Ontario for anyone selling travel products, it is accepted as a valuable credit in other provinces.
Module 11 – Introduction to Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) – Examination Preparation
This Certificate is administered by the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) and is recognized in all provinces throughout Canada.
In both of the above modules, we also support students with the registration process for the online examinations, and with the location and selection of approved proctors convenient to the student’s home.
