Title Page Below are some simple instructions on how to use this template: 1. You can change the text in the graphical screen above or in the outline area to the left. 2. There is one default background that is indicated by “ ” .This slide acts as a space or a blank screen, use to clear or blank the screen. If you have a large graphic such as a map you could also use this screen. If you insert a new slide you will get this default background. 3. The first five slides have the other backgrounds for the set. To use more than one of these background types in your presentation highlight the one you wish to use and choose copy from the edit menu. Paste this slide where you want it to appear in your presentation, then change the text on this new slide. By copy/pasting the slide in this manor you will keep the background, text formatting and the customized animation from that slide. By using the copy/paste method you find it saves you time and keeps a consistent look through out your presentation. 4.There are a few additional notes written in the slide text wording that may be helpful. Note: We are working on a website that in the future will provide help topics on using sermon outlines in PowerPoint as well as provide sermon templates similar to this one. Check for more information. Pastor/Teacher - Jim Rickard Thursday, January 28, 2010

E. Definition of the three stages of Spiritual Adulthood.

1. Spiritual Self-Esteem (SSE):

a) SSE is the assertion of Bible doctrine resident in your soul; living by one's own thinking from that doctrine. James 1:22-25

b) SSE is characterized by and is the inevitable result of personal love for God.

c) It is self-confidence that is not derived from self but from your unique relationship with God.

d) It is crossing over from spiritual childhood to adulthood, spiritual depen-dence to independence, between punitive suffering and suffering for blessing. Rom 12:10-21; Col 1:9-12; 2:6-7

2. Spiritual Autonomy (SA)
2. Spiritual Autonomy (SA). a) SA is a continuation of mental contentment or +H, and capacity for life.

b) This contentment is based on Impersonal Love for all
b) This contentment is based on Impersonal Love for all. Phil 4:11‑13; Heb 13:5; 1 Tim 6:6‑8

c) SA is having doctrinal and grace orientation with the absence of arrogance, resulting in mental toughness and self‑confidence.

It is having orientation to reality, authority and freedom, while rejecting those things that destroy the spiritual life such as fear, worry and anxiety.

d) You have divine viewpoint, which is used in pressure situations as well as normal situations = mental stability.

Prov 19:8, “He who gets wisdom (metabolized doctrine) loves his own soul (SSE). He who cherishes understanding (SA) prospers.”

e) SA is also having a Personal Sense of Destiny, understanding God's plan, will, and purpose for invisible impact in the Church Age.

3. Spiritual Maturity (SM).
