Below are some simple instructions on how to use this template:
1. You can change the text in the graphical screen above or in the outline area to the left. 2. There is one default background that is indicated by “ ” .This slide acts as a space or a blank screen, use to clear or blank the screen. If you have a large graphic such as a map you could also use this screen. If you insert a new slide you will get this default background.
3. The first five slides have the other backgrounds for the set. To use more than one of these background types in your presentation highlight the one you wish to use and choose copy from the edit menu. Paste this slide where you want it to appear in your presentation, then change the text on this new slide. By copy/pasting the slide in this manor you will keep the background, text formatting and the customized animation from that slide. By using the copy/paste method you find it saves you time and keeps a consistent look through out your presentation.

6. The loving parent – child relationship: The parent will provide the appropriate measure of discipline at the appropriate time.

7. The loving Pastor – student relationship: The Pastor will diligently teach God’s Word, to his congregation.

8. The loving church - congregation relationship: The church will apply the appropriate discipline to the reversionistic congregant.

9. Principles of Family Discipline:

10. Family discipline should be patterned after the Divine discipline of Heb 12. It is not love, but the lack of it, that allows a child to go undisciplined.

11. If the child or student is allowed to develop unchecked, tendencies and inclinations will result in future problems, difficulties and sorrow, Prov 13:20b.

12. Principles of Church Discipline:

13. When control is ignored among Christians on the plea that grace is reigning, with the aversion to judge themselves rightly, 1 Cor 11:31, it has even worse consequences than the lack of discipline within the family.

14. Grace never sets aside restraint
Grace never sets aside restraint. The two principles are not opposed to each other. In God’s Divine plan, grace and restraint work side by side, as they should in the home.

15. Church discipline is taught in Mat 18:15-18; Rom 16:17-18; 1 Cor 5; 2 Cor 2:6-11; Gal 6:1-3; 2 Thes 3:6-16; 2 Tim 2:23-26; Titus 3:10;

16. The purpose of church discipline is always restoration and not revenge, 2 John 1:9-11. The church’s attitude is to be one of love and gentleness, Gal 6:1-3.

17. I. Purposes for administering church discipline.

18. 1. To bring glory to God and enhance the testimony of the flock to a lost and corrupt world.

19. 2. To restore, heal, and build up sinning believers, Mat 18:15; 2 Thes 3:14-15; Heb 12:10-13; Gal 6:1-2; James 5:20.

20. 3. To produce a healthy faith, one sound in doctrine, Titus 1:13; 1 Tim 1:19-20.

21. 4. To win a soul to Christ, if the sinning person is only a professing and not believing Christian, 2 Tim 2:24-26.

22. 5. To silence false teachers and their influence in the church, Titus 1:10-11.

23. 6. To set an example for the rest of the body and promote Godly fear, 1 Tim 5:20.

24. 7. To protect the church against the destructive consequences that occurs when churches fail to carry out church discipline.
