1 Grace Fellowship Church www.GraceDoctrine.org
Pastor/Teacher Jim Rickard Sunday, March 29, 2009 Title Page Below are some simple instructions on how to use this template: 1. You can change the text in the graphical screen above or in the outline area to the left. 2. There is one default background that is indicated by “ ” .This slide acts as a space or a blank screen, use to clear or blank the screen. If you have a large graphic such as a map you could also use this screen. If you insert a new slide you will get this default background. 3. The first five slides have the other backgrounds for the set. To use more than one of these background types in your presentation highlight the one you wish to use and choose copy from the edit menu. Paste this slide where you want it to appear in your presentation, then change the text on this new slide. By copy/pasting the slide in this manor you will keep the background, text formatting and the customized animation from that slide. By using the copy/paste method you find it saves you time and keeps a consistent look through out your presentation. 4.There are a few additional notes written in the slide text wording that may be helpful. Note: We are working on a website that in the future will provide help topics on using sermon outlines in PowerPoint as well as provide sermon templates similar to this one. Check for more information.

2 1 John Series 1 John 5:9 God’s greater witness provides us the victory.

3 We who believe have been given victory from the moment of our salvation, which should lead us to daily victories.

4 Our victories are not based on what we can do, but entirely upon God’s provisions. 2 Chr 32:1-23; 2 Kings 6:8-32

5 2 Chr 32:1-23, depicts the faith of King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah that brought them victory over the Assyrian's and King Sennacherib.

6 2 Chr 32:7, “Be strong and courageous, do not fear or be dismayed … for the One with us is greater than the one with him.”

7 1 John 4:4, 18, “You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.”

8 2 Chr 32:8a, “With him is only an arm of flesh (in contrast to Isa 53:1), but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.”

9 2 Chr 32:8b, “And the people relied on the words (Bible Doctrine) of Hezekiah king of Judah.”

10 Rom 8:31, “What then shall we say to these things
Rom 8:31, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?”

11 In 2 Kings 6:8-23 we see how Elisha walked victoriously in Christ and continually had a Relaxed Mental Attitude (RMA), even in the most adverse situations.

12 Having his own faith and RMA allowed him to witness to other believers, the omnipotent provisions of God.

13 Elisha is given the opportunity to visibly reveal what he knows in faith (the invisible) to those who are lacking in faith.

14 2 Kings 6:16, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

15 Even though God is able to deploy His legions on our behalf, all that is needed is found in Him (The Arm of the Lord).

16 This is the reality for every believer. Do you believe it?

17 In 2 Kings 6:18 "blindness" is SANVER which means "sudden blindness"
In 2 Kings 6:18 "blindness" is SANVER which means "sudden blindness". It has the connotation of loss or distortion of vision resulting in mental confusion and bewilderment. Compare Gen 19:11.

18 SANVER is the mental state of those in apostasy who consistently do not believe.

19 In contrast the believer is to be thinking in terms of Bible Doctrine and standing firm in faith.

20 1 Peter 5:8-9, “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert
1 Peter 5:8-9, “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.”

21 A righteous king who leads others to righteousness is and will be victorious in all righteous battles.

22 A righteous king who leads others to righteousness is and will be victorious in all righteous battles. What are you doing with your royalty?!
