3. The Magnetic Field All magnets have a North and a South pole
The Magnetic field attract magnetic metals towards the magnet

4. Attraction
Opposite poles attract, so North and South poles attract together

5. Repel
The same poles repel, e.g. North repels North and South repels South

6. The Earth The Earth is a giant magnet
It has a magnetic field protecting us from Cosmic radiation
We can use compasses to find out where the North pole is!
