2 Progression and Results 2018
Progression Headlines: 66 to Russell Group Universities. 95% of students accessed progression of their choice. 7/7 students to Medicine/Dentistry. 4/5 students to Oxbridge. Results Headlines: 48.3% A*-B. 98.4% A*-E (across almost 1000 entries). 22 students with all A*/A grades. 26.6% students with two top grades. 48.2% students with one top grade.

Learning Manager and Head of Year 12: Anne Walton. Learning Manager and Head of Specialist Support: Beth MacGregor. Progression Manager: Matthew Stephenson. Personal Tutors: Gemma Hetherington (GMH), Ian Limbrick (IJL), Rachel Ramsay (RCR), Naomi Coulthard (NVC) and Sophie Reynolds (LAC). Post 16 Administrator: Judith Hardington.

8 Personal Tutor Non-teaching, pastoral focus.
Each student has an allocated personal tutor and is placed in a tutor group. Tutors meet tutor group once a week for a group tutorial. Rolling programme of one-to-one tutorial appointments. Tutor writes UCAS/Employment References. First point of contact for parents. Open Door Policy in operation.

Independence and getting involved. Arrive at registration and lessons on time. 100% attendance. Prepare for lessons thoroughly and meet all deadlines. Paid work is limited and does not interfere with school commitments. Phones and ID Badges.

16 Curriculum Reform Most students will complete three A Levels as well as: Compulsory Critical Thinking Optional Mandarin The move from four to three options. In line with other high achieving Sixth Forms. In line with the vast majority of Further Education Offers. Allow teachers more flexibility in the delivery of courses. Provide a greater degree of contact time.

17 Progression to Year 13: Formal, structured Progress Assessment Framework. Reporting format with Parents’ Evenings, Review Days and Reports. Suitable levels of effort and performance throughout Year 12. REMEMBER – whilst applying to UCAS, Predicted Grades will be on the application form: Based on Progress Assessments Optimistic and Realistic Students must continue three subjects in Y13.

18 Work Experience Weeks:
8th July - 12th July & 15th July - 19th July 2018. Look for placements early. Anyone who doesn’t take this opportunity will be in school. Progression Week: 15th July - 19th July 2018. Activities to support all progression routes. Compulsory attendance (without W/E). UCAS support for Personal Statements.
