In reading, we are learning the letters Cc, Aa, Dd, Hh, and Mm. We are learning the name of letters, their sounds and how to correctly write the letters. These are the letters they will be responsible for knowing at the end of the quarter. We are learning the sight words: I, a, am, see, my, can, the, like.
In writing, we are learning how to write our letters, sight words, first names, and how to draw a person.
In math, we are learning the numbers 0 – 10. The children should be able to recognize the numeral, write the numeral and show how many to match the numeral with counters. We will practice counting to 30 and positional words.
In Science, we are learning about bears, fall, and force and motion.
In Social Studies, we are learning about fire safety and fall holidays.

Please look for a sign up sheet to come home soon regarding parent/teacher conferences. We are required to have these at the end of first quarter. Please pick a couple convenient times and I will confirm it with you. These
will begin the first week in November.

Please put any money in an envelope or a Ziploc bag and write your child’s name and what the money is intended for on it. We have lots of things going on and children are coming in handing me money or lying it down and I am not sure who it belongs to. Your help with this would be appreciated.
