Jim has more than twenty years experience in business. Jim started as a billing clerk and progressively moved worked in many different staff and management roles up to CFO. Jim has experience in many different industries (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Technology, Automobile, Medical, and Real Estate) in Small Businesses up to Fortune 500 businesses. Jim is highly experienced in forming a variety of business entities, business expansions, divestitures, mergers & acquisitions, and business closures. Most importantly, Jim has focused his entire career on integrating technology to strategic plans and business processes alike. Paul Warrick, CPA, CGMA Lead Manager, IMTA CITP Credential, AICPA Paul started his career in public accounting, providing audit and review services for a broad range of publicly traded and privately held organizations. Subsequently, he worked in several progressive industry roles, gaining significant SEC and technical GAAP experience. Paul has been employed at the AICPA since January 2014, where he is the CITP Credential Manager and a member of the Information Management & Technology Assurance (IMTA) team. Paul earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Accounting from North Carolina State University. He is passionate about raising the public profile of the IMTA section and the CITP credential, as well as promoting the value of specialization within the accounting profession.

CITPs in Business & Industry: Develop and maintain information governance policies and programs, perform data analytics, provide insight for business decisions, and supports financial reporting system implementation CITPs in Public Practice: Evaluate the impact of technology risks and the related controls on financial statement audits. CITP Credential Requirements
Maintain an AICPA membership in good standing Hold a valid and unrevoked CPA certificate or license issued by a legally constituted state authority Pass the CITP examination Meet minimum education requirement 75 hours of CITP related education within the five-year period preceding the date of the CITP application Meet minimum business experience requirement 1,000 hours of CITP related business experience within the five-year period preceding the date of the CITP application; or Full-time professor and have taught at least four accredited college courses, with 50% of the material included in the CITP body of knowledge

CITP Exam Requirement Four-hour computer based exam comprised of 160 multiple-choice questions Questions are discrete and consist of a stem that includes factual data and provides four answer options Grading - Each exam is carefully graded by our team of psychometricians to ensure that the questions are statistically valid

CITP Education Requirement
Pre-certification Education A CITP credential candidate must have a minimum of 75 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) within the CITP Body of Knowledge All 75 hours must have been obtained within the 5-year period preceding the date of the CITP credential application Can include any combination of structured and unstructured learning

CITP Business Experience Requirement
There are two ways a CITP credential candidate may successfully fulfill the business experience requirement: A CITP credential candidate must have a minimum of 1,000 hours of business experience in any combination of areas included in the CITP Body of Knowledge, within the five-year period preceding the date of the CITP credential application. For candidates in academia, a qualified credential holder would be a full-time professor and have taught at least four accredited college courses, with 50% of the material included in the CITP Body of Knowledge.

Annual CITP Recertification
To maintain an active CITP credential, CITP credential holders must meet the following recertification requirements annually: Regular AICPA membership in good standing Valid and unrevoked CPA certificate issued by a legally constituted state authority Complete 20 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) within the credential body of knowledge Unstructured learning activities may constitute up to 50% (10 hours annually) of a credential holder’s CPD

CITP Exam Sponsorship Program
Objective: To assist CPAs with interest in Information Management and Technology Assurance to complete the examination requirement and ultimately obtain the CITP credential. The sponsorship is designed to be a reimbursement of expenses incurred in the preparation and taking of the CITP Exam Candidates who purchase the CITP Review guide and the CITP Exam will be awarded $300 upon the completion of the CITP Exam Qualifications: Valid & unrevoked CPA license AICPA member in good standing Information Management and Technology Assurance (IMTA) Section member Anticipate meeting the CITP education and experience requirements within 6 months after completing the exam

Launched on June 12th, 2017 Objective: To support the professional growth of both new and prospective CITPs, through the development of relationships with experienced and accomplished CITP professionals Roles & Responsibilities CITP Mentor: Provides guidance and recommendations to help the Protégé develop his/her professional skills. Protégé: Seeks constructive feedback as well as encouragement, and has a strong commitment to professional growth.
