2. The Transversal Project
FAO to provide transversal support to in-country implementing partners
Awareness raising and dissemination of VGGT and F&G
Support to capacity development
Support to specific country demands
Support for M&E
Platform for lesson learning and experience capitalization
Lesson learnt in VGGT and F&G implementation as inputs to AU Declaration on Land Issues and Challenges

3. CAPITALIZATION MEETINGS
Meetings of key stakeholder from the ten in-country project implementing agencies and government representatives for purpose of:
Enhancing coherence and alignment of the in-country projects in improving governance of tenure in the framework of VGGT and F&G
Strengthening capacities of in-country project teams
Sharing and capitalizing on experiences and lessons learnt and progress of in-country projects
It is a project requirement to attend capitalization meetings

4. Capitalization meetings
Capitalization meetings are not isolated events
Linked to and mutually supportive of other transversal support activities:
Targeted capacity development
Use of Knowledge Management platform
Joint monitoring and evaluation
Joint communication activities
Collating and disseminating lessons learnt

5. Objectives of the meeting
Review progress of implementation at country level particularly as they relate to implementation of the VGGT and F&G
Increase technical and soft skills in improving governance of tenure in the following areas:
Multi-stakeholder processes
Experience capitalization
Documenting and communicating lessons learnt
Gender equitable governance of tenure
Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC)
Provide inputs for communication materials to promote success stories at country, regional and global levels
Provide inputs to 5th Anniversary celebration of VGGT

6. Expected Outcomes
Good exchanges among the implementers in sharing experiences and lessons in implementation of in-country projects
Capacity developed in technical and soft skills in improving governance of tenure
Inputs provided for documenting success stories of VGGT and F&G implementation at country level
Inputs provided for the celebration of the 5th Anniversary of VGGT
