Cell phone-social media, texts while completing school work, etc. Friends-drama happening in your friend group Avoiding classwork because it’s difficult and challenging

3 Choices continued What techniques do you use to help make the right choices? Surround yourself with positive peers Set goals for yourself Turn off phone for periods of time while studying to avoid distractions Stay focused on your goals Be disciplined and set a schedule for yourself

Keeps you focused Keeps you motivated When you are passionate about achieving a goal, you are motivated and focused What are you willing to do to make the right choice and work towards your goals? Develop good sleep habits Eat a healthy balanced diet Develop good study habits Commit proper amount of time to school work and practice for your activity/sport

Especially when others are trying to bring you down Stay focused on what is important to you Remember that your choices directly affect YOU Surround yourself with positive peers who help you make the right decisions Avoid negative influences and always remember your goals

Surround yourself with people who also make good choices Choose friends who “bring you up”- this will boost your confidence and the ability to believe in yourself and commit to your goals Choose teammates and/or classmates who are positive influences to spend your time with
