The business has an inventory of over 500,000 pieces of equipment that need to be tracked and/or inspected
The business is currently using paper file system to track equipment and record information

5. Business Needs
The request was made to provide a database for accumulated business intelligence and transactions which would facilitate easy updates and retrievals of information.
This project has been initiated to track equipment inventory and invoices records.

6. Business Requirements
Using the Web, the inventory clerks will be able to search a main inventory database and locate parts that are on hand to purchase.
Clerks can place orders for customers, retrieve past orders by the invoice number, and also track an existing customer’s credit.
