3 Activities Groups of students rotate through a wide variety of activities designed to teach and reinforce state mandated curriculum (TEKS) while building self confidence and a sense of unity across the grade level. Activities

4 Supervision and Safety
Safety is always our top priority. Groups are led by Pine Cove staff with 2 adult chaperones. Each chaperone will have a schedule to follow to make sure everyone is where they need to be. Children are never left alone or unsupervised. Emergency procedures are in place.

5 Cost/Scholarships The trip to camp costs $195 per person (learners & chaperones). includes camp fees, transportation, lunch on Friday Some money is available for scholarships for students. There are no scholarships for chaperones. If your child receives a scholarship, you cannot be a chaperone. Every family must pay at least part of the cost. Scholarship applications are available tonight and due no later than next Friday, Sept. 1. Needs based.

6 Medications Medication form, one for EACH medication, even OTC
Medications and forms due by Sept. 13 Only send as much as needed for camp Original containers only Locked up, logbook, Wilson staff administers No one may have any medications in their luggage!! Chaperones may give their own child their medicine.

7 Behavior Wilson/CISD code of conduct applies
Courtesy, kindness, cooperation NO HORSEPLAY, PRANKS, PRACTICAL JOKES Students participating in this type of behavior will be sent home immediately

8 What to Pack Packing list is in your packet. PLEASE FOLLOW IT!
jeans/long pants required for horseback riding bedding Wilson/CISD dress code applies Rain gear, old clothes Can bring spending money for camp store - $20 is plenty Laundry bag

9 What NOT to Pack Cell Phones!
Learners should NOT bring their phones to Pine Cove Learners will not be allowed to call home Educators and Chaperones will have phones in case of emergency Swimsuits Other prohibited items listed on packing list Explain no cell phones are due to both learners not being distracted and we are not responsible for lost phones

10 Getting Home Friday, Sept. 22, about 2:00 pm
Teachers will send out REMIND texts, so be sure to sign up! You MUST sign your child out from his/her teacher!!! Only adults listed on each dismissal form may pick up each child. collect child, luggage, medications

11 Choosing Not to Go Please reconsider!
missing out on instruction, opportunity to grow up, FUN! Must attend school on those days absences will be unexcused Speak to your child’s teacher

12 Important Dates Week of Sept. 5th
Sept 6th- Chaperones notified, their $195 is due Sept 6th - Scholarship recipients notified, money due Sept. 8th- All paperwork, fees, and medications due Week of Sept. 11th Wed, Sept. 13, ALL MEDS AND MED FORMS DUE Wednesday, Sept. 20 Arrive at Wilson gym on time (no later than 7:40 am) Friday, Sept. 22 Pick up your child at about 2:00 pm
