Using the Wartime Experience Chart, your group will analyze the events of WWII and their impact on both the USSR and United States. Use your textbook, notes, or other WWII worksheets from the previous unit to complete this.

7 Discuss What are some similarities in the experiences of the USSR and the United States during the war? What are the differences in the experiences of the USSR and the United States during the war? DO you believe there are more similarities or differences in their wartime experiences? How could their experiences have impacted their perspective at the end of the war?

Read and complete the Venn Diagram Identify 3 foreign policy goals both countries should have had at the close of the war. Be prepared to defend your answer.

9 Churchill v. Stalin You will analyze two leaders that define the west and the east, Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Soviet Leader Josef Stalin. Iron Curtain “We cannot be blind to the fact that the liberties enjoyed by individual citizens throughout the British Empire are not valid in a considerable number of countries, some of which are very powerful. In these States control is enforced upon the common people by various kinds of all-embracing police governments…”
