Ethiopia’s army is easily defeated by the more powerful Italians Again, the League condemns the attack but does nothing

1938 – German army annexed Austria September 1938 – Hitler demanded that the German-speaking Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia be given to Germany

19 H. Appeasement Munich Conference – British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain meets with Hitler Chamberlain agrees to give Germany the Sudetenland if Hitler would stop there
