9 Hitler & Mussolini October 1936, the two dictators came to an agreement (Rome-Berlin Axis) In November 1936, Hitler makes an agreement with Japan which now will be known as the Axis Powers During Spains Civil War, Hitler and Mussolini sent troops to support Fascist dictator Francisco Franco Franco will become dictator by 1939 in Spain

10 Preserving Peace Great Britain and France continued to make concessions to keep peace in Europe United States followed an idea of isolationism (avoid political ties with other countries should be avoided) 1935 Congress passed Neutrality Acts 1937 Hitler announces he will absorb Czechoslovakia and Austria in the Third Reich (German Empire) March of 1938 Hitler sends his troops into Austria and annexed it Sept. of 1938 Hitler goes into Sudetenland
