3 Departure The coach will leave at 8am
Please arrive at 7:45am so we are ready to go Please arrive promptly and bring bags to the Library We are travelling to the centre using Flagfinders, a local reputable operator Wearing Suitable clothes

4 Activities Pupils will be in 3 groups with a trained Essex Outdoors member of staff plus a St Margaret’s member of staff at all times.

5 Activities Mobile climbing wall Archery High ropes Bradwell Olympics

6 Activities Crabbing – Take a boat ride across the estuary towards Mersea where we fish for crabs from the pontoon

7 Activities Sailing - 24ft Dufour Drakkar sailing boats
Crews can assist with hoisting and trimming sails, helming the boat and learning the basics of sailing.

8 Medication Pack any medication separately, named, in a plastic bag with written instructions (on school paperwork) & hand to Dr Fraser. Do not pack any medication in holdalls. Any additional medical information in writing please (on school paperwork).

9 What to pack! Rucksack (not necessarily school one) containing:
Bring a refillable water bottle – named Snack for Day 1 (No nuts) Sun cream Sun hat/hat and gloves Waterproof coat

10 What to pack Old clothes – long sleeved t-shirts and long trousers essential for most activities. Toiletries – no aerosols permitted Waterproofs (jacket, trousers) Underwear & socks 1 pair of trainers, 1 pair of shoes for evening PLUS 1 pair shoes for water Towels x 2 (one of these should be old)

11 What to pack - 2 Sun cream and sun hat Gloves and hat (in case!) PJs
Large plastic bag for dirty clothes Hair brush & hair ties Teddy Kit list

12 What not to bring! No phones No bedding (this is supplied)
No electronic games / iPods / tablets etc. Card games and travel games are useful. No cameras (we’ll take lots of pictures) No Fitbits

13 Suitcase A squashy holdall is best! Not too heavy
Please label clothes as far as possible

14 Catering Hot lunch and dinner on Day 1
Breakfast and packed lunch on Day 2 Aware of children with specific dietary needs

15 Accommodation Dormitory style with St Margaret’s staff nearby
Bunk beds with bathroom nearby Boys and girls separated on different floors Only school in the building Last activity ends at 8pm, then quickly to bed! Please talk to your child about not disturbing others at bedtime

16 Coming Home We aim to leave at 2pm on the Friday and should be back by 3.30pm depending on traffic. We will liaise with Mrs Walker re timings – please look out for text messages / ParentMails as we will let her know when we are half an hour away.

17 Code of Conduct We expect every child to adhere to a high standard of behaviour, even if not directly supervised by a member of St Margaret’s staff In the unlikely event that your child behaves in a dangerous way, we will need to contact you to arrange collection
