5 Accommodation -Girls and Boys on separate floors -Staff spread out between floors -Lockable zones/floors -Shower cubicles -Cater for dietary requirements

6 What are we doing? ▪ Archery ▪ Team Games ▪ Climbing Wall ▪ Crate Stack ▪ Forest Adventure ▪ Team Challenge ▪ Obstacles ▪ Night Walk

7 Sleeping Arrangements ▪ Children organized into single sex rooms of 4 – 6 ▪ Children will have an opportunity to express with whom they would like to share a room ▪ Langshott staff will put children in rooms with consideration of requests, attitude, friendships and behavior ▪ Children will be expected to make their beds and keep their rooms tidy!

10 Kit List ▪ Tracksuit bottoms (not jeans) ▪ Warm jumper/fleece ▪ T.shirts ▪ One change of clothes ▪ Underwear ▪ Socks ▪ Pyjamas ▪ Trainers ▪ Wellington Boots ▪ Indoor footwear ▪ Flannel, shower gel, shampoo, towel ▪ Toothbrush and toothpaste ▪ Packet of tissues ▪ Hairbrush/comb ▪ 1 small cuddly toy ▪ Large plastic bag for dirty washing ▪ Waterproof jacket ▪ Hat and gloves ▪ Lip protection

11 Kit List Notes ▪ Case: ONE soft case, rucksack or wheelie bag ▪ Children must be able to carry or pull this themselves ▪ Children can bring a camera – disposables are most practical. If they bring a digital camera it is their responsibility (named) ▪ Any medicines – safely wrapped, labelled and named (to be handed to Mrs Mathews) ▪ Pack with your child: - Child then knows what they have got with them, - More likely to be returned at the end of the trip - Child needs to be able to pack own case on return - Where possible, name items of clothing

12 Kit List Notes Children should not bring: X sweets X chocolates X chewing gum X tins or bottles X nut products X iPods, iPads, tablets etc X electronic games X mobile phones X Hair dryer X Straighteners X Sprays of any kind X Jewellery or other valuables

13 Important Information ▪ Behaviour – School rules still apply ▪ Children need to keep themselves safe ▪ They must carry out instructions straight away ▪ If a child’s behaviour is deemed unacceptable and compromises safety, we will inform parents and you may be asked to come and collect your child

14 Communication Home ▪ Website and email alerts sent from the office to update when appropriate ▪ Communication and messages get passed through duty manager at school (Mrs Mackintosh) to the group leader (Mrs Langdale). ▪ In special circumstances telephone calls can be made from the centre to home e.g. in event of illness or birthday

15 Important Information – Medicines ▪ Essential that all medical conditions communicated well in advance. ▪ Check your child’s medical forms are returned ▪ All medicines to be named and passed to Mrs Mathews on the morning of the trip with routine and doses written out clearly

17 Before you leave… ▪ Return any outstanding forms to the office ▪ Speak to staff about any details/needs that we need to be aware of ▪ Check that you have a copy of the kit list and itinerary ▪ Group lists will be handed out nearer the time
