7 Selling the New MGC+ IP Base Packs

8 MGC+ ReadiConvene USPs
The most flexible MCU on the market today First MCU on the market to support standards-based, scaleable HD (High Definition) In combination with other Polycom products (e.g. VSX 1000, new HDX 9000 series) the MGC+ can offer your customer the highest quality audio and video conferencing – “UltimateHD” Polycom MGC+ is the only MCU on the market today that supports both On Demand and Scheduled conferencing concurrently

9 Selling On-Demand Conferencing
MGC+ the best option for customers who want to transition from Scheduled to On-Demand Allows customers to introduce Meeting Rooms and Entry Queues, whilst still maintaining Scheduled conferences Even though Scheduled is far more prevalent than On Demand today - VC is moving to On Demand Proof Points - Industry giants Microsoft, Cisco, Avaya, Alcatel Rooms and People are still booked – but bridge ports will be dynamically assigned

10 What is On-Demand Conferencing?
Provides 24/7 reservationless video conferencing, with user-friendly features so that anyone, at any time can start a VC call Pre-configured MGC “meeting rooms” and “entry queues” make video conferencing extremely simple for end users Simplified dialing plans allow users to enter an easy-to-remember number to initiate or join a call Eliminates need for advanced reservations and technical support Drastically reduces VC administrator overhead associated with scheduling and monitoring tasks

11 Recording and Streaming Easy Access inside or outside the firewall
Why Move to On Demand? Self service model is easier and cheaper Users are used to managing personal technology MGC+ lets you easily transition from Scheduled to “managed” On Demand environment MGC+ RSS 2000 Sell Our Advantages – MGC supports both Scheduled and On Demand concurrently – customers can mix and match Meeting Rooms allow the administrator to control and manage On Demand conferencing Pre-configure the meeting duration, bandwidth, features, # of participants Control who gets a personal MR, and who uses EQs Create “application oriented” Meeting Rooms – dial in for casual use, dial out for exec meetings – increase the bandwidth for content - provide Click and View, Chairperson Services, ability to invite other participants, etc. (or not!) Provide password control – see who enters and exits the meeting with new “visual indications”… Provide users with the ability to record their conference, and/or share with hundreds of “off net” viewers Use “default Entry Queues over IP” to provide easy access for outside participants from any type of video endpoint Implement firewall security for “federated partners” with V2iU firewall gateway V2iU On Demand Recording and Streaming Easy Access inside or outside the firewall

12 What is “Managed” On Demand?
The ability to control the type of conference your users launch through MGC Meeting Rooms and Entry Queues Customize the conference per user and application (examples below) “Executive” Meeting Room “Emergency” Meeting Room “Knowledge Worker” Meeting Room By pre-configuring Meeting Rooms on the MGC+ in advance, administrators can create customized conferences per the user’s needs, specifying parameters such as dial in or dial out, bandwidth allocation, length of the conference, security features, conference management features, etc. This allows end users to initiate, join, and manage their own conferences at any time simply by dialing a few numbers on their video remote, while still giving administrators the ability to control the type of conferences that can be launched. One number dials out to the VP’s four direct reports 2 Mb, unlimited duration, content sharing (H239), Click&View Password protected, Find Me/Follow Me service PSTN participants can dial in as needed One number dials out to video EPs back at the hospital 384k, no content, 1 hour duration Auto record upon dial out No passwords, auto answer IP redial enabled Each worker is assigned a personal MR Participants all dial in and meet on the bridge 384k, 2 hr duration, content sharing enabled Outside development partners can join using V2iU or direct dial into MGC+

13 What is an MGC “Meeting Room”?
Technically speaking, a “Meeting Room” is a conference template on the MGC that is pre-configured in advance by an administrator, using MGC Manager Meeting Rooms do not use up resources on the bridge – they are dormant until activated by the end user Participants access MR’s by dialing an easily remembered number*, such as the user’s desk phone extension *E164 number or H323 alias MR’s can be configured to use Entry Queues with IVR prompts for greetings, PIN code security, etc. MR’s can use / incorporate all the same features as scheduled and ad-hoc conferences (e.g., Chair Control, security, etc,)

14 What is an “Entry Queue”?
An Entry Queue may be thought of as a “conference lobby” or “routing lobby” Users dial into an EQ on the bridge, using either an IP address or IP alias, and are prompted to enter a conference ID, which will be used to route them to the correct conference An Entry Queue number may be assigned to an entire group, eliminating the need for the administrator to set up individual MRs

16 MGC+ ReadiConvene offers the ultimate in On-Demand and Scheduled conferencing at a very competitive per port cost MGC+ ReadiConvene offers the highest quality voice and video conferencing (Polycom UltimateHD) MGC+ ReadiConvene in conjunction with RSS 2000 HD Recording and Streaming Server and V2iU offer a complete infrastructure solution Polycom V2iU firewall gateway solves your IP video firewall problems, allowing your “off-net” partners to easily dial in as needed to your conferences
